CancerCare Manitoba located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada is a provincial agency which provides clinical and academic services and leadership for cancer control and the treatment of blood disorders. We invite applications for the position of:
ASAP – Anticipated 3- year Term (may expire with two weeks’ notice)
Reporting to the Community Oncology Program Manager, the Primary Care Coordinator’s main purpose is to support activities related to education and engagement of primary care providers throughout Manitoba. The Primary Care Coordinator will be responsible for planning, coordinating, facilitating and evaluating the delivery of professional development activities and strategies. These initiatives support and promote shared care and continuity of care between CCMB and Primary Care. Some travel within Manitoba may be required.
Baccalaureate degree in Health Sciences, Social Sciences, or public administration. A combination of equivalent education and experience may be considered
Minimum 2 years of experience in program planning, instructional design or event planning
Supervisory or leadership skills
Demonstrated knowledge of adult education and professional development principles
Demonstrated ability to collaborate, liaise with, health professionals across the province
Experience in the continuing education of health professionals
Must be skilled in working with the internet, Windows platforms and Microsoft programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms and Planner
Must be able to work in independent and team environments
Experience using web-based communications and video-conferencing, such as MB-Telehealth and Microsoft Teams/Zoom.
A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle when required
Available to work occasional evenings and weekends
Must have satisfactory employment record
Must be legally able to work in Canada
Will be assessed during the interview process:

Must have strong written and oral communication skills, including public speaking and presenting, as well as strong attention to detail
Demonstrated facilitation and presentation skills
Must be able to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all levels of staff, the general public, and various stakeholders and partners
Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative program evaluation
Knowledge of provincial Primary Care practice models and provincial initiatives
Knowledge of Manitoba’s health system
Experience with newsletter and promotion coordination
Experience working with communities and rural areas
Education and/or experience in project management
Ability to speak French
Salary: Non-Union (compensation based on qualifications)
Direct care workers are required to either be vaccinated for Covid-19 or to participate in on-going regular Covid-19 testing pursuant to Orders made under The Public Health Act C.C.S.M. c. P210.
