CancerCare Manitoba located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada is a provincial agency which provides clinical and academic services and leadership for cancer control and the treatment of blood disorders. We invite applications for the position of:

Under the general direction of the Section Heads of the Research Institute, the incumbent is responsible for the effective and efficient management of the Research Office for CancerCare Manitoba and provides confidential administrative support to the Section Heads (Cell Biology and Clinical Research), Chair of the Institute Advisory Board (IAB) and the Terry Fox Research Institute (TFRI) Prairie Node Leader. The incumbent is responsible for the coordination of the CancerCare Manitoba Infrastructure and Operating Grant Competition, CCMB’s Research Day and the RIOH Seminar Series. In addition, the Administrative Assistant II will maintain calendars, book meeting rooms, prepare meeting agendas and meeting minutes and arrange meetings via teleconference, as requested. The incumbent will be able to function well under pressure and perform other related duties as assigned.
Successful completion of a recognized Administrative Training Program or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, as determined by CancerCare Manitoba
Minimum of three (3) years’ of recent experience in an office environment providing administrative support
Comprehensive knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Must hold a satisfactory employment record
Must be able to legally work in Canada
