This week, May 8-14th, we celebrate National Nurses Week and Allied Health Care Professionals Recognition Week. The CCMB Executive would like to applaud all nurses and allied health care professionals providing care at CCMB Sites, and extend our sincere gratitude to them.
Providing outstanding care and support to patients with cancer and with serious blood disorders is no easy task, and we would like to acknowledge the success with which CCMB nurses and allied health care professionals provide that outstanding care and support.
CCMB’s commitment to provide care that is patient-centred, high-quality, and evidence-based is only possible because of the dedicated staff who carry out their roles with professionalism and compassion. During the pandemic, they have been on the frontline of continuing to bring excellence to cancer patients. They did not pause, but showed resilience and stepped up in an ever-changing environment that required many adjustments along the way. For this we continue to be grateful.
At CCMB we acknowledge and thank all of these skilled professionals who work collaboratively to provide the best high-quality care to each patient. The diversity of skills and training that each one brings is essential to the full spectrum of care CCMB provides to patients throughout the cancer journey.
This week, please join us in thanking and acknowledging all CCMB nurses and allied health care professionals.
