Introducing CervixCheck, CancerCare Manitoba. Formerly the Manitoba Cervical Cancer Screening Program. CervixCheck will continue to provide our partners with the same services, facilitate increased access to screening, and educate women about the importance of Pap tests for the prevention of cervical cancer.

Take the Test

Program manager Kimberly Templeton talks about the importance of taking the time to take a Pap Test.

The goal of CervixCheck is to decrease the incidence of and mortality from invasive cervical cancer through the development and management of comprehensive and equitable cervical cancer screening for Manitoba women.

The program objectives are to:
  • Maximize screening uptake in the eligible population.
  • Operate and enhance a population based information system and registry.
  • Facilitate and support quality assurance activities for cervical cancer screening services.
  • Monitor and evaluate CervixCheck.
  • Participate in review, evaluation and implementation planning of new technologies.
