Step 2 - Promoting the Program

• sends posters and pamphlets
• places ads in local papers
• provides, if requested, a speaker or presentation kits
• sends invitations to most women 50 years of age and over

The community can have a huge impact on participation by helping with promotion.

Step 3 - Booking Appointments

• Women 50 years of age and over can book their own appointments by calling 1-800-903-9290 toll free or 788-8000 in Winnipeg.
• Group appointments can be arranged.
• In rural areas women under 50 will be accepted with a physician referral and dependent on space.
• The BreastCheck is only for women without signs and symptoms of breast cancer.
