When you arrive at a screening site, a receptionist welcomes you.

You will be asked to complete a health questionnaire and sign a consent form.

You will then be asked to remove your clothing from the waist up, and change into a gown.

We suggest a two-piece outfit so that you only have to remove your top.

A female x-ray technologist will take a mammogram of your breasts.

It is important not to wear deodorant, talcum powder or lotion under your arms or near your breasts as these can show up on an x-ray. Wipes will be supplied if this isn't possible.

You may then watch a video on breast health so that you can check for signs of disease yourself.
