Interpreters
A diagnosis of cancer is hard enough to deal with without the added burden of not being able to understand the English language. It is very important that you understand what is happening to you or your family member. Please let us know if you need a translator, if possible prior to your visit. We will make every effort to arrange for an interpreter. A great deal of our resource material is available in French and there are staff members at CancerCare Manitoba who can provide service in French, as well. There are also many resource materials at the Patient and Family Resource Centre and Breast Cancer Centre of Hope, and pamphlets distributed through the Breast and Cervical Screening Programs, in many different languages. |
