Guardian Angel Caring Room

If you are experiencing hair loss or other appearance-related side effects from your treatment we may be of assistance to you.

The Guardian Angel Caring Room and its Coordinator are completely supported by funds raised through the Guardian Angel Benefit. It is dedicated to help people with cancer with appearance-related side effects.

A Wig Service, head coverings and laryngectomy stoma covers are available at no charge.  In addition, the and Look Good Feel Better Program is offered which provides hands-on workshops on skin care, makeup and head covering techniques.  The Caring Room also provides educational workshops which feature information on cancer related side effects such as lymphedema and fatigue. We are located in Room ON 1046, just down the hall from the main entrance at 675 McDermot Ave. and are open from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Monday, Wednesday and Friday; Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. A wig service is also offered at the St. Boniface site, CancerCare Manitoba on the Ground Floor.
