CancerCare Manitoba (CCMB) has developed and translated information on a variety of cancer treatment topics in different languages. This is part of a Multi-cultural project to produce culturally appropriate cancer information.

The purpose of this translated information is to:

• Assist cancer patients from different cultures to better understand their cancer treatment.
• Make more informed decisions.
• Improve communication of information between health care professionals and cancer patients and families.

Cancer Treatment Topics

Ten different cancer treatment topics have been developed including:

Funding for this project was provided through the Public Health Agency of Canada. Translations for First Nations languages were completed by The Aboriginal Languages of Manitoba. All other languages were translated by the Sexuality Education Resource Centre.
