Offered annually by the Community Cancer Programs Network (CCPN) and CancerCare Manitoba (CCMB), Community Cancer Care 2011 is a continuing education opportunity for health care professionals involved in cancer care.
Dr. Simon Sutcliffe, Vice Chair: Canadian Partnership Against Cancer (CPAC) and Past President, BC Cancer Agency will be the KEYNOTE SPEAKER at the Community Cancer Conference opening reception and dinner, Thursday, September 29. The evening will be an important opportunity to learn more about a "National Vision for Community Cancer Control."
The 2011 Conference theme, "Community Cancer Control: Innovation and Growth" will highlight the new Western Manitoba Cancer Centre in Brandon as well as other examples of innovation and growth within community cancer care in Manitoba.
This conference enables health care professionals, dedicated to providing high quality cancer care to Manitobans, to come together and participate in innovative educational and networking opportunities designed to meet the diverse needs of this professional group.
Physicians and staff from the 16 Community Cancer Programs, the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority Community Oncology Programs, and CCMB, will join delegates from throughout Manitoba and beyond.
In addition, and NEW this year, a Post Conference Workshop, "It Matters to Them:" CANCER SCREENING for PRIMARY CARE will be held on October 1, 2011.
