In Sixty updates

New Lymphoma and Prostate cancer clinical pathways now available

The In Sixty partnership has worked with Manitoba's disease site experts with front-line experience to determine the ideal pathways that move patients from suspicion to first treatment in 60 days or less.

Newly developed cancer pathways for lymphoma and high grade prostate cancer are now available in draft form for review, comments and feedback. The existing breast pathway has also been revised to reflect the practice of direct referral.

Please submit feedback on these two draft pathways and the revised breast pathway before September 18, 2015 to cancerjourney@gov.mb.ca

Direct Referral for Breast Imaging

Use the Manitoba Provincial Breast Imaging Consultation Request form to request breast imaging no matter which diagnostic centre you send your patients. If the radiologist recommends more imaging or an image-guided biopsy, patients will be referred directly for the next test. This may be at the same or a different location.

The Primary Care Provider will be informed of all appointment dates and receive copies of imaging and pathology reports. Please click here for information about direct referrals.

Existing Pathways

Use these pathways with lung and colon or rectal patients and provide feedback on areas that may need adjustment to cancerjourney@gov.mb.ca.
