The mandate of the Human Resources Department is to provide support, consultation and guidance to managers/supervisors, bargaining agent representatives and employees to ensure effective delivery of Human Resource programs; to monitor the effectiveness of Human Resource programs; and to plan and design changes with management and employees.

The Department performs a service and communication role throughout CancerCare Manitoba. The role is mandated in the areas of:

• recruitment and selection
• staff development
• job evaluation and classification
• labour relations, and
• organizational/departmental review (design and development).

The staff compliment at CancerCare Manitoba is approximately 500 professional personnel.
