Sequencing Results Provided
Below is an example of the results you will obtain.

Page 1 shows the Collection Data including the run conditions and the sequence obtained. The data listed as SIGNAL gives a good indication of the success of the run. Numbers above 150 [ie G(150) etc.] are indicative of a good sequencing reaction.

Page 2 is the electropherogram. This is the processed raw data obtained from the sequencer. This data can be useful to interpret ambiguous bases shown as N. The electropherogram can also be useful for troubleshooting poor or failed sequences. For example, initial large strong peaks that peter out after 200 bases is characteristic of too much DNA in the sequencing reaction.

This data can be provided in a digital format. The electropherogram is about 260kb and can be viewed and processed on your computer with a program called CHROMAS. (Select to download)
