What We've Done
CancerCare Manitoba is providing care for patients and their families today, while preparing for an anticipated 50 percent rise in cancer patients of the future. Currently, our level of care is considered favourable when compared to national averages, but our province's aging population will increase the need for cancer services. Strategic planning and investment is underway to meet those needs. CCMB is working closely with partners across Manitoba, such as regional health authorities and primary care providers. Together, we've found ways to improve current cancer service systems, and we've created partnerships that enable better and more efficient care of cancer patients across the province. We're also readying and focusing resources that will enable CancerCare Manitoba and its partners to provide Manitobans with the best cancer care in Canada, if not beyond.
