Patient Services Manager -Winnipeg Community Sites

Reporting to the Director of Nursing, the Manager is a leader who is responsible for planning, developing and implementing a progressive program of oncology care in an ambulatory setting using a multidisciplinary approach to care. The Manager has experience in motivating and guiding a patient-focused team and able to provide leadership to a dedicated team of professionals. In addition the incumbent will be able to relate effectively with all levels of healthcare management at the site and regional levels. Areas of responsibility will focus on but are not limited to Systemic Therapy and multidisciplinary Clinic delivery. This position will be of interest to those candidates who will bring an innovative approach to the management required to deliver quality patient and family centered care. The successful candidate, based out of Victoria General Hospital, will be CCMB's management lead for the ambulatory Oncology services at the following sites; Victoria General Hospital Concordia Hospital, Grace Hospital and Seven Oaks General Hospital.



  • Baccalaureate Degree* in relevant health care profession. *An equivalent combination of education and experience recognized by CCMB may be considered
  • Minimum of five years current clinical experience
  • Minimum of three years of recent management/supervisory experience in a multi-union environment
  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving, decision-making and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to manage time, multi-site management and access to a vehicle for travel between sites

  • Recent experience in clinical oncology, project management and quality/process improvement methodologies
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
  • Master's degree in a relevant or complimentary field
