The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for the efficient and effective senior level administrative support and coordination of Human Resources services with a focus on project work associated to the functions of the department. The incumbent will be able to organize and administer workflow with the development of administrative systems that enhance efficiencies and functions well under pressure. The successful candidate will provide high quality administrative support and coordination in areas including, but not limited to, project delivery, recruitment and staffing, employee relations, benefit administration, orientation programs, assist with the coordination of special events and other related duties as assigned. This position reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer.
Qualifications: Working as part of a team of Human Resource Professionals, the Administrative Coordinator will be results-focused, and will have demonstrated project delivery and organizational skills, flexibility and a high degree of initiative and independent decision making skills. High school diploma (or equivalent), completion of a recognized Administrative Assistant training program along with three to five (3-5) years experience in a senior level administrative position are required. Experience within a Human Resources environment is considered an asset. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to build rapport with all levels of employees; have the ability to manage competing work assignments under pressure and be capable of carrying out the confidential aspects of this position with sound judgment, discretion and professionalism. The successful candidate will have demonstrated time management, communication, interpersonal, analytical, collaborative and coordination skills. Current knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
